The Atlantic Union Gleaner FYI Electronic Newsletter Has a New Format
   
The Atlantic Union Gleaner FYI, the electronic newsletter published by the Communication department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Atlantic Union Conference, has a new format. Feel free to share this with a friend.  Any portion of the bulletin may be reprinted, however, please identify the Atlantic Union Gleaner FYI as the source. 
The Gleaner Reaches Another Milestone   
The Gleaner reached another milestone on January 1, 2012, when it commemorated 110 years of service as a faithful chronicle of the work and progress of the Adventist Church in the Atlantic Union territory. The magazine is the official publication or voice of the Atlantic Union and the six conferences it serves. It allows the readers to hear, not only in regard to the progress of the work in their home conference, but also in all of the conferences in the union and beyond. Read More.

Register Today for GODencounters - February 2-5  
GODencounters is a life-changing experience for young adults, college, university students, and young professionals (ages 18-35). The event sponsored by the Atlantic Union Conference Adventist Youth Ministries is coming up on February 3-5 at Camp Winnekeag, 257 Ashby Rd., Ashburnham, MA. Registration will remain open till Tuesday, January 31, or till all rooms fill up, whichever comes first. Community Services in Bermuda Makes a Difference 
The Adventist Community Services (ACS) in the Bermuda Conference is making a real difference in the lives of real people on the Island. Lois King Elected Interim Director for Women's Ministries in the Atlantic Union  
The Atlantic Union Conference Executive Committee, at its November 16, 2011, meeting, elected Lois King, Ph.D., as the interim director for the Women's Ministries department in the Atlantic Union during the current quinquennium. She succeeds Charlotte Thoms who was the director for 14 years. Thoms will continue to serve as the union's Disabilities Ministries director. King is also the director for the Atlantic Union Ministerial Spouses Association. Look for the article in the February 2012 Gleaner
Atlantic Union Church and Ministry Leaders Attend the Adventist Ministries Convention  
Church and ministry leaders from around the Atlantic Union, along with others from North America, met in January at the North American Division (NAD) sponsored Adventist Ministries Convention (AMC) in Innisbrook, Florida. "Revolution on Our Knees," an NAD-sponsored prayer summit convened prior to the convention. "Tools of the Master" was the theme for the convention and Dan Jackson, G. Alexander Bryant, Jose Rojas, and Adrienne Townsend were the speakers for the general sessions. Leaders were encouraged as "tools of the Master" to go beyond their comfort zone and let God use them to be His instruments of service. View photos from the event on Flickr here.
SNEC 2013 Bold Initiative 
The Southern New England Conference is planning a bold initiative for 2013 to evangelize the 11 million people living within its territory. The goal is to grow God's kingdom by baptizing "2013 by 2013," something that has never been done before. Starting on January 9, Hope Channel launched a LIVE, interactive community of prayer called Let's Pray! It airs Monday through Thursday at 8:00 p.m. E.T. This prime-time program gives you a place to ask other viewers to pray for you, and it will give you a chance to encourage someone else by praying for them. Read More
Name Changes
Shepherdess Ministries has a new name: Ministerial Spouses Association. The association is designed to connect, affirm, and empower the spouses of pastors within the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America.



The Atlantic Union Conference Youth  Ministries, Pathfinder, and Adventurer departments is now the Atlantic Union Conference Adventist Youth Ministries.
