Fellow ALERT Members:
.
I have returned from a weekend in Appleton, Wisconsin where Tom Witczak put on a fantastic ALERT Regional Conference.  I was able to greet approximately 50 new ALERT Members and the training was outstanding.  I want to pass along my sincere appreciation to Tom, his staff and our host, Fox Valley Technical College.

Speaking of ALERT Regional Conferences, Jeff Eggleston hosted a great one in Ohio and I received an e-mail from him afterwards.  He has granted permission to share that e-mail with you.  You can view it on our members only section of our website.  The password is "alert911".

  Below 100 Initiative

OHIO ALERTI thought the e-mail from Jeff was very important because it is the same philosophy from the Below 100 initiative.  Our Board of Directors has officially partnered with that initiative and we would encourage you to use the information in your training.  We will provide a "train the trainer" course at our 2012 National Conference but there will be one at Police Week on May 14th at the Crime & Punishment Museum.

 .

There is a $20 donation to our partner, the Officer Down Memorial Pagefor attending that course but as an ALERT Member, we will cover those expenses for you.  You can see those details here

.

If you would like to attend that event, please e-mail us at info@alertinternational.com and we will reserve a seat for you.

National Conference

Our National Conference is approaching and if you think you will be attending, we encourage you to book your rooms as space is limited at the host hotel.  You can see those details here.  There are some exciting events planned at the conference including daily trips for your family members, a tour of the Volunteer Football Stadium and a trip to Bristol Motor Speedway with a hosted lunch.  You can see the planned training events here.
