Shalom!
Chag Sukkot Sameah!lulavetrog

This week, students enjoyed gorgeous weather in the park and learned in the Sukkah in preparation for the holiday of Sukkot, which begins this evening.

Next week, we'll visit our friend Kathy's sukkah, study in the sukkah at school, and shake our lulavim! We're also looking forward to a visit with our friends from Edgewood Campus School.  In the meantime, have a joyous Sukkot holiday. Hag Sameah!

"How should we connect the celebration of Sukkot, a holiday focused on our home, with helping those around the world?  -One Sukkot Guide

In honor of Sukkot, I am reposting this amazing source sheet I ran across that I hope you will enjoy over the holiday. The first page is an informative summary of the background of the holiday of Sukkot, the Festival of Booths. What follows is a thought-provoking assembly of questions and sources that ask us to connect our celebration of abundance to our obligation to help others around the world.

Find the source sheet here.
