They're the crash-test dummies of modern medicine: two sets of full-scale hospital rooms-operating rooms, recovery rooms, patient rooms, and more-constructed to the architectural specifications of the new Stanford Hospital and expansion of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital blueprints. The rooms are the new hospital facility mockups, built to test the new designs and workflow well before construction begins.

250,000 lbs. of HeritageTo make way for the Stanford University Medical Center expansion, hundreds of trees are being preserved, including this 80 year old giant. Crews worked diligently to ensure its safe transition just a few blocks away. This timelapse video captures the commitment to preserve the natural beauty and heritage throughout the campus.
