Praise Briefs

Results of VBS week, June 18-22

- 133 children accepted Christ for the first time

 

- 33 children recommitted their lives

 

 

Pastor Dean and Elbia Morin traveled to Guatemala in June

See Sharing Christ in the Midst of Trials, GraceTalk, June 2012. 

 

While there, they:

- brought sandwiches and juice to children who were hunting for food in a garbage dump 

 

- visited two pastors for follow-up ministry

 

- preached (Elbia translated) to 250 people in the Los Lamos mountain village, bringing 8 adults to accept Christ

 

- fed all 250 people in attendance, with more than enough left over

 

- Held 2:7 Discipleship studies each night with family members and neighborhood children

 

- led the housemaid of Elbia's son Luis to accept Christ

 

On the way home:

- Elbia led the woman sitting next to her on the plane to accept Christ

Since 1989, the Funshine Preschool staff  has dedicated their ministry to preparing preschoolers for successful entry to Kindergarten. In the process, they introduce children and their families to the Grace Church community of believers - all in a way that displays God's love for them. Read Funshine Preschool.

Ken Ham Blogs About Foundations Class Visit
  Foundations Class at Creation Museum 
On June 11 - 15, Pastor Jason Barthelemy and eight adult leaders accompanied 38 Grace Church Freshman Foundations Class students to the Answers in Genesis Creation Museum near Cincinnati and the Field Museum in Chicago. These students were impacted by this trip and as a result are better equipped to defend the authority of God's Word.

 Choir 

Beginning September 9, the new Grace Chapel will be holding Traditional Sunday Worship services at 9:00 and 10:40 a.m. The Chapel Choir will minister most Sundays in these services, and in other seasonal events and services as appropriate. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7-8:15 p.m.

 

Auditions for those who would like to sing in the Chapel Choir will be held on two Sundays, August 19 and 26 at 10:20 a.m. in the Music Room (formerly the Orchestra Room). Past Choir members do not need to audition; simply notify the Music Office by August 15 that you wish to participate.
