Praise Brief |
Christian rock band No Longer Music has just completed its summer 2011 tour:
- Played 40 shows in 10 countries over three months before approximately 20,000 people
- Openly proclaimed the Gospel in front of several mosques in Turkey
- During their performance in Tczew, Poland, storms covered the entire city, except the park location where their show was held
- Many in their audiences responded to receive Christ, or Bibles and Gospel tracks
In response to the August 2011 Clothing Closet article in GraceTalk, donations included:
School supplies to provide at least five items to each child in attendance
- 14 back packs
- 150 notebooks
- 50 folders
- 75 packs of other supplies
plus
- 275 Bibles, which are always in high demand
New needs: winter jackets, diapers, wipes, and pull-ups |

Grace Church was blessed to receive a generous financial gift from one of our families. Determining how to strategically utilize this gift involved many meetings, and much prayer. Ultimately, we decided to use it to position Grace Church for future growth and ministry. To that end, I have outlined four major initiatives that we will be undertaking during the coming year.

Community Care Nights
When Executive Pastor Jon Wright challenged Grace members to step up and serve during Community Care Nights on Thursday evenings, about 100 people responded. For the past several weeks, our team has been organizing, training, and preparing these volunteers for their respective roles.
Starting Oct. 6, on the Garden Level of our facility, Thursday evenings become Community Care Nights for anyone needing support or encouragement. When life gets you down, we care. For information about Community Care Nights, including the support groups being offered, go to www.atgrace.com/ccn. |
