Bill PearsonGreetings!

Welcome to ISC!

I am very pleased to welcome back all the returning students and extend a very special greeting to all our new students and parents. The start of every school year is always an exciting time and is one of the many reasons why I really enjoy working at a school such as ISC.

We have a very dedicated and qualified team of teachers at ISC. Our goal is to partner with our parents and students to provide each of our children the best education possible. Working together as a team, we can make your child's education a positive, productive and enjoyable experience.

I would like to draw your attention to Back to School Night for elementary and secondary parents on Friday, August 12, and the open houses scheduled for ECC parents August 15 to August 18. I encourage all parents to attend these important meetings to learn more about the ISC educational program as it applies to your child/ren. Specific times and locations can be found on the ISC online calendar.

Below are some important topics that I would like to encourage you to read:

In closing, I would like to share that as the head of the International School of Curitiba, I am very pleased that you have entrusted your precious children to us with the dream and expectation that by completing their education at ISC they truly will be global citizens and leaders committed to a life-long journey of academic and personal excellence.

Wishing you all a very productive 2010-2012 school year!

Kind regards,

Bill R. Pearson

School Bullying

by Paul D. Combs, Elementary Principal

School bullying has gained media attention for over a decade now because of various events including some that have been violent. In a number of extreme cases, the person who carried out this violence had been bullied in school. Often victims of bullying later become bullies themselves, experts say.
