I have the #1 dream job!
I had so much fun at the recent TNNA trade show where the aisles were brimming with a fantastic cornicopia of colors & textures; yarns with unique fiber contents; knit, crochet and even woven samples of everything wonderful for Spring 2012.
Long-lasting freindships were renewed (this dream job has lasted 33 years) with the owners of some of my favorite yarn companies: Tahki, Berroco, Classic Elite, Schacht ; new friendships made with talented young owners: Be Sweet (bamboo), Lanaknits (hemp) and Westminster Fibers.
I'm jumping with joy with the Spring 2012 collection we've put together because it has more patterns, more kits and more of a variety of cotton and cotton blend yarns than ever!
We are so in love with the recycled and eco-friendly yarns we've added to our line: Remix and Lion Brand Recycled Cotton that will be introducing with some smashing crochet kits in our next newsletter!
Tahki outdid themselves this year with the introduction of Rosa, Lily, Soft Cotton and Ripple, all cotton yarns! No one can do classic fashion better than Tahki which you'll find in their COLLAGE pattern book and the kits we've put together with these yarns. We just love Tahki!
Classic Elite's Verde Collection brings out the best in organic yarns with Sprout, Seedling, Katydid Ribbon and Allegoro (named after Al Gore for being an earth-conscious yarn) . We love the unique designs Classic Elite brings to the table and you'll find them all in our Verde Collection kits.
We haven't forgotten our weavers. We've been working behind the scenes to bring you some beautiful projects from the upcoming issue of Handwoven magazine using Cotton Clouds' yarns--available as kits soon! Watch for announcements on all our fan pages. We'll keep you informed and up-to-date on Facebook, Weavolution, Ravelry and our blog. Join us if you haven't already! |
