Dear Friends,
We would like to share our gratitude for our service men and women and their families who make it possible for us to live in this great nation. Their sacrifice is great on all of our behalfs and we sincerely appreciate their service.
There are many great things happening in the next couple months. We hope that we will see you often at many of these events that are mentioned below.
Thank you to all who attended our Carnival and Talent Show. It was great to watch all of our amazing performers. Pictures can be found on the blog. We would also like to make a video for YouTube, if you have any pictures or video from the carnival you would like to share. Please send to tricobi1@yahoo.com.
We have created a blog and Facebook fan page to help you, and everyone you know, on your journey. We invite you to take a moment to read the blog and get updates on Facebook so that we can all stay well acquainted. If you have a suggestion or a topic you would like to discuss, please send an email to info@autismjourneys.net.
We hope that you are having a safe and enjoyable summer.
Keep Cool,

| Golf Tournament for Autism Council of Utah
August 25, 2010 @ Soldier Hollow in Midway
Autism Journeys is sponsoring a hole. If you would like to join one of our teams please contact us at info@autismjourneys.net You can get more details about the tournament by clicking link above. Below is a message from Autism Council of Utah.
I'm fully aware that those of us with kids who have autism have limited funds, but please pass it on to anyone that you know who might want to golf or sponsor a hole. Doug Smith Auto is donating a car for a hole in one! We are hoping that this is the fundraiser that lets us get started with the license plates. The plates can potentially fund autism awareness, educational programs, scholarships, research in the state through the Autism Council.
THANKS!!
Cheryl Smith

Utah Autism Coalition Parent Support Program Over the years, and especially the last several months, I've received multiple emails from parents across Utah asking for support groups in their area. Some have requested help specifically in their school district; one was considering moving to Utah but wondered what the services were like in specific areas. Many have been parents of a newly diagnosed child.
Remember what it was like trying to find services in your area? I was fortunate enough to find a mom who really helped me figure out good service providers which helped expedite treatment for our son. I think we can really help other parents - whether new to the diagnosis or new to the area, or who just need a friend. That's why we've decided to start the Parent Support Program, and we're asking you to help us kick it off. We'll include a list of parent volunteers on our website displayed by first name and last initial (or just first name, anonymous, or whatever you prefer). So for me, it will look like this:
Leeann W Highland (North Utah County) Alpine School District contact (this will be a link to my email address or phone number)
Please sign up by sending me the four pieces of information listed above: 1) your name 2) your location 3) school district 4) email.
Let's be the support we had, or wished we would have had!
Sincerely,
Leeann Whiffen President & Co-founder
