We hope you have found Life Church to be a community of gracious acceptance and contagious spiritual life in Christ. It is our joy to help you love God, love people, and become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Debi and I are hosting another "New Friends" Gathering this Sunday, April 15 so we can get more connected and share the Life Church story and vision with you. Love to have you join us!
Time to live in the reality of the Resurrection... Wow... what a phenomenal Easter Sunday last week at Life Church. Over 50 joined us for the 6:30 am Sunrise Prayer Walk and almost 200 joined us for our Easter Sunday Celebration. But it was so much more than just numbers... God was deeply at work in so many people's lives in our worship, prayer time, and in our message "Perspectives of the Empty Tomb." Now it's time to go back into our broken world and carry the hope of the Resurrection to every person in our daily circle of influence. I am praying for God to bless you and use you as his messenger of hope in Christ!
I hope you can come back and join us this Sunday. God is doing powerful things in people's lives as we seek him and I do not want you and your family to get left behind in what He is doing at Life.
8:00 AM: ALPHA! We are offering a special "re-run" session of last Sunday's first ALPHA Video (Why Did Jesus Die?). Then, at 9:00 AM, we will offer our regularly scheduled ALPHA video "How Can We Have Faith?". See ALPHA Group details below.
10:15 AM: "Momentus Deo" Ever feel lethargic, apathetic, or at a stand still in your soul? Physical Science teaches us momentum = mass x velocity (P = mv). In view of the incomparable mass and perpetual moving of the Spirit of God... experiencing true spiritual momentum is closer than you can imagine. This Sunday, April 15, this inspiring series will introduce you to the God of spiritual momentum. Come expecting a fresh move of God in your life as we worship and learn God's Word together!

ALPHA Community - Sundays at 9:00am Get A Fresh Grasp of the Foundations of the Christian Faith With Friends
No matter if you are newly seeking to understand what the Christian faith is all about or perhaps a Christ follower who wants to want to be re-vitalized by the foundational truths of the Chrsitian faith, ALPHA will work for you! ALPHA is a small group, video/discussion community that has been completed by millions of people worldwide. Alpha teacher NICKY GUMBEL (of England) teaches each week's foundational video lesson with inspiring humor, clarity, and conviction. Our Alpha Leadership Team will facilitate a 20-30 minute group discussion about the topic where you can voice your questions and ideas in a friendly learning environment.
At 8:00am, April 15th, we will show last week's video: "Why Did Jesus Die?"
At 9:00am, we will share the regularly scheduled video: How Can I Have Faith?"

Beta Community Beta Huddles - Micro Groups 
Meeting Weekly at Various Times through May 31
The next step of discipleship (Christ-following apprenticeship) at Life Church, is a 7 week trial of micro-small groups called BETA HUDDLES. These weekly same-gender groups of 3-4 people (meeting April 11 - May 30) will include prayer, bible reading, and voluntary, grace-filled accountability on agreed upon discipleship questions. They will operate as peer to peer, friend to friend spiritual coaching.

OMEGA Discipleship Bible Studies - I John
Thursdays at 7:00p, Life Office/Atrium - Starts April 19th
A Christian's quest to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ includes acquiring a depth of knowledge of the bible scriptures and Christian doctrine through various methods of bible study.
Life Church's OMEGA Discipleship Studies offer bible studies of different books of the Bible and on topics of discipleship or doctrine using inductive, systematic, and/or expository bible study methods. Since discipleship happens best within community, our OMEGA Discipleship study groups spend time praying for each other and encouraging each other toward obedience and full devotion to Christ.
This Spring, we are studying the Book of 1 John starting Thursday, April 19.

 New Friends Dessert Connection Sunday, April 15th 5pm at Roggensacks
If you are new at Life Church or have been hanging around for many months, we'd like to extend an invitation for you to join us for our New Friends Dessert Connection at our home on Sunday, April 15. This informal gathering is a great way to get better acquainted with other new people at Life Church, with Mark & Debi, and the Life Church story and vision.
We do not provide childcare, but if you need a babysitter, we may be able to ask one of our teens to assist you.  Go! Pray - Your Neighborhood Prayer Walk
National Day of Prayer - Thursday May 3
On May 3rd, the "National Day of Prayer", the pastors and churches of Gurnee are coming together for prayer - but not at one location!
We invite all members of our churches to take their faith to the streets and participate in a 30 minute prayer walk in their own neighborhood anytime during May 3, rain or shine!. Imagine the impact of thousands of Christ followers seeking God's mercy and grace in neighborhoods throughout our region. Since Life Church is a lead church in this "Go! Pray - Prayer Walk" outreach, I hope every one of us at Life will participate and pray for our own neighborhoods!
A "Go! Pray" Prayer Walk Guide will be available for all churches on April 22nd.
