Community Life Coordinator
 (20 hrs a week)
We are searching for an effective and enthusiastic communicator who can welcome and engage visitors and attenders alike. The coordinator needs to have good organizational/administrative skills and be technology savvy. This person will help plug new people into roles and community at Peninsula Bible Fellowship. The position includes direct work with hospitality, greeting, care group support and Young Families Ministry. Recruiting and scheduling, training, and encouraging volunteers is a considerable part of this position. Submit resume' to Tammi Keffer at tammi.keffer@peninsulabible.org.
Welcome to a new Harris

Please pray for continued blessings on the family of Ben and Melanie Harris as they celebrated the healthy birth this week of son Silas. He joins siblings Sam and Sophie. Ben had plenty of time to return from his operatic studies at the Caramoor Center for Music and Arts in upstate New York before the birth.

Sunday School returns

Regular Sunday School programming will return September 9th with Kick-Off Weekend. We look forward to teaching the children about the love of Christ.

This week's photo

This photo was taken July 20th at the Rend Collective concert. This amazing event was well attended by those from both the PBF family and many in the community including friends who attended the Solid Rock day camp. It was an incredible time to celebrate and worship.

If you have a photo of an event at PBF that may fit for our headline logo, please email Heidi Evans.

baptismKendall to be baptized Sunday

Kendall Campana will be baptized at 3 p.m. Sunday at Silverdale Waterfront. Help us welcome her into the family of Christ! If you would like to be baptized outdoors, Pastor Andy plans another baptism at Silverdale Waterfront soon. We also anticipate another indoor baptism during services in the sanctuary this fall.

Do you think you might be ready to join the family of Christ? If so, please contact Heidi Evans in main office at 360-692-6549 or email heidi.evans@peninsulabible.org. We will have you meet with a member of the staff.

We baptize adults and children who have reached an age of developmental maturity and understanding. In order to receive the sacrament, we require participants to discuss their decision for Christ with a staff member of the church. Children are asked to share their decision with their parents.  Individuals are baptized by being fully immersed in the water. For an indoor baptism, we perform the sacrament in the sanctuary in a tank designed for this purpose.

foodHelp restock our food bank
Often individuals in financial crisis come to our church seeking assistance. Regardless of their circumstances, we always offer food from our food bank. In recent weeks numerous families have requested aid and our shelves are running lean. We are seeking donations of nonperishable food items. We are especially low on the following: spaghetti sauce, canned chicken, soups, macaroni and cheese, and canned raviolis. Low-salt items are always enjoyed.

Update on David Reed
David Reed
A 9-year-old child in our PBF family, David Reed, was recently diagnosed with a tumor in his brain stem that is inoperable.
This week had some highlights and low points.

David enjoyed visiting friends and family Monday. Tonya Kipple visited the family this week and delivered much of the candy that has been collected so far as well as the enormous teddy bear. David has named the bear Guenther. Also, a fund-raiser for the family last weekend at Barbie's in Seabeck yielded $800.

David symptoms are increasing quickly. He was admitted to the hospital Friday.

We are continuing to collect candy for David and will deliver it after services Sunday. We are also continuing to take names of those willing to provide food for the family. Click here to add your name to the list.  We thank the many volunteers who have already provided meals.

Andie, David's aunt, wrote on the family's support site, "Every one of you continue to bless us beyond measure. We can see and feel your concern; phone calls, hugs, cards, and meals .... Thank you so very much, from the bottom of my heart."
