Are you considering baptism?

We anticipate a Baptism Sunday in our near future. Do you think you might be ready to join the family of Christ? If so, please email Heidi Evans in the main office  or call 360-692-6549.  We baptize adults and children who have reached an age of developmental maturity and understanding. In order to receive the sacrament, we require participants to discuss their decision for Christ with a staff member of the church. Children are asked to share their decision with their parents.  Individuals are baptized by being fully immersed in the water. Typically, we perform this sacrament in the sanctuary in a tank designed for this purpose.

MOPS meets at the beach

MOPS will hold a summer play date at 10 a.m. Friday, August 24th, at Point No Point Beach, 9009 Point No Point NE, Hansville. Invite your friends. All mothers of children ages birth through preschool are welcome.

Love and prayers for David Reed

David in hospital A 9-year-old child in our PBF family, David Reed, was recently diagnosed with a tumor in his brain stem that is inoperable.
This week he was referred to Children's Hospital for a second opinion on his treatment. He continues to have bouts of headache and nausea. The doctors have still not finalized a course of treatment.

This week there are three things to do to help this family:
  1. According to family's Caring Bridge site, you may attend a benefit concert of music by Cory TONIGHT at 5 p.m. at Barbie's Cafe in the Seabeck Marina. The Cafe sells food and ice cream. The family will not be there, as they spent the day at Tacoma meeting with doctors.
  2. We are collecting candy and cards for David, who has quite a sweet tooth. If you could bring wrapped candy of any type, we will gather it together to present to him. Even better, we ask that you bring cards filled with well wishes and photos of your family, so he can see how many people are praying for him. The jar will be available in the Cascade Foyer near the Welcome Desk beginning Sunday morning.
  3. We have started delivering meals to the family. To participate, if you have not already volunteered, we ask that you click here to enter your contact information in a form on our website. We will contact you when we have a better idea of what is needed.

Peninsula Bible Fellowship Youth Camp 2012
Peninsula Bible Fellowship Youth Camp 2012

With overalls and straw hats galore, 92 youth and leaders traveled to Duckabush River on the Olympic Peninsula for the annual Youth Camp at  Wilderness Northwest. The youth spent three days in July having fun with hillbilly-themed activities, but also worshiping Christ and growing in faith. Many thanks to the volunteers and leaders for this amazing experience.
