October 27th Hike to Focus on Trees

Did you know that groups of Beech trees are actually clones of each other? Learn more about them and other types of trees on the October hike with NHLT Board member and Coverts Program Cooperator, Anne Hall.

Take a  hike with NHLT on the fourth Saturday of October and November. Meet on October 27th at the NHLT's Noel Property on Harmony Hill Road  just south of intersection of Cotton Hill, E. Cotton Hill and Harmony Hill Roads near the Harwinton/New Hartford sign.

The property is just about ten acres and includes woodlands, wetlands, and a beaver pond. We will walk mainly on trails and the hike will last approximately 90 minutes. If you don't have that much time, one group can move along faster with another volunteer leader.

See you on the trail!
