It is with great sadness that

we inform you of the death of

Ron Eigenbrod,
longtime Board member and  volunteer leader of the
New Hartford Land Trust.

Ron died suddenly on

December 24th at home.

Our deepest sympathies are

with his wife and our friend, Ginger, and all of Ron's family

and loved ones at this very difficult time.

There will be a memorial service
for Ron this Tuesday,
January 3rd, at 1:00 p.m.
at the North Congregational
Church in New Hartford.

Remembering Ron

Ron Eigenbrod led the New Hartford Land Trust as President of the Board from 2002 until early 2009 and remained an active and involved Board member since then. He was an enthusiastic and vibrant leader who brought the NHLT into a proactive phase of land acquisition and generated new energy for the organization.

Practicing what he preached, Ron donated a conservation easement on 41 acres of his own land to the NHLT in 2004.  He was a generous volunteer, donor and friend. Ron's positive outlook and great enthusiasm for preserving working and open lands will never be forgotten. His leadership and vision resulted in a wonderful, lasting legacy for the New Hartford community.

We will greatly miss our friend and colleague.

Sincerely,

The New Hartford Land Trust Board of Directors:

Madeline McClave, President

Jeff Ollendorf, Vice President

Caren Ross, Secretary

George Durstin, Treasurer
