University of Connecticut

 

Learn the basics of forest ecology, rationales for woodland managment, what programs and other resources are available to landowners, what insect diseases pose threats to our woodlands and more. Bring your questions!

 

Join us on a late winter Sunday afternoon for

a great presentation, updates on the Land Trust, refreshments, and a visit with neighbors!

 

Tom Worthley's statewide responsibilities include

forest stewardship, sustainable forest management, and silviculture on non-industrial, private forestland.

He worked in the forest products industry prior to joining UConn and holds B.S. and M.S. Forestry degrees from the University of Maine.
