THANK YOU BOB MORRELL AND THE MORRELL FAMILY
On the move

After 36 years of sitting idle, next to cranberry bogs, at Edaville Railroad, Carver, MA - Bob Morrell (Story Land, Glen, NH) purchased the Flying Yankee.  Bob and the Morrell family are well known for their love of New Hampshire, the White Mountains, and their promotions of same.  Fortunately the Flying Yankee was nearly intact except for one door which has since been found and put in place.

Bob's vision was to have the Flying Yankee restored  to original condition to travel New England as before and promote education and tourism.  To preserve the Flying Yankee and get the work done, Bob sold it to the State of New Hampshire for $1.  He then formed the Flying Yankee Restoration Group, Inc., a   501(c)3 non-profit,  responsible for locating grants,  performing fund raising events to complete the restoration, and then maintain the operation once the train is running.

Bob Morrell was another World War II veteran from the 10th Mountain Division to live their dreams in the mountains from New Hampshire to Colorado.

Thank you Bob and the Morrell family for this opportunity.  We strive to make this dream come true for all and continue Bob Morrell's vision.
