Flying Yankee Restoration Group, Inc.

Good Morning,
Just a quick note for all of your information.

The January newsletter and the flyer for the Palmer Railfan Night left here on schedule (1/10/11) yesterday at 4PM.  With Constant Contact, we can track how much is sent, how many are opened during the span of delivery, etc.  In other words, we can pull up a comprehensive report on all mailings at any time.  By 5:30PM the report was that FY already had an 18% open rate on each (887 active members) item sent.  20% is the overall national average in-total and we manage a 50% to 60% in-total average in a 4 to 5 day period of time.
By 11:00 PM last evening the report was at 35% open rate on both items with 17 "clicks" (they used one of the "links" for more info., registration, etc.) on the Palmer flyer and 2 "forwards" on the newsletter.

Wayne has also substantiated that our donation rate is up as well.  Not always huge amounts BUT it shows interest and is more than we started with.  Thank you again Wayne for your wonderful message first thing this morning.

This is all a result of us working together, working with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, saturating the "market" with information of what is happening, and other information you feed the "office".  Thank you George Kenson for all your assistance and input with the web, newsletter, and info arrangements.

Many of you may have media and/or club email addresses I don't have or suggestions of your own.  Please email the office computer and I will be sure that this last newsletter and Palmer Railfan flyer is sent to them.  George has both up on the web site already.  I know it needs some adjusting and it will be taken care of.  The fact that it is there now is a start in the right direction and we go from here.

Together we can get this done and maybe faster than we think.  It's working guys.  Lets keep it up.  Joe Karas is also working with us to get the "children's picture" up in North Station (he has made the contacts) and hopefully with a current companion piece of the Lincoln, NH school children in front of the Flying Yankee the day the tarp comes down.
1935 - A CHALLENGE WELL MET  2011 - A CHALLENGE WE'LL MEET
Again, thanks to all of you.  GO YANKEE! doesn't have to be a baseball cheer.
Happy New Year to us all,
Patricia, Coordinator
