From the President

This is my favorite time of year.  I love the long shadows cast by the southward-arcing Sun.  All of us here at CHS have seen changes, several new courses, and overall refinement of our seminary: the seminary for all Pagans, the one I desire all of us to have a stake in.  If you've donated to support our work, thank you.  If it's been a while, why not consider another gift?  If you've never donated, we invite you to join us in doing what's never been done before, creating a Pagan seminary.  One that teaches the subjects we Pagans want to learn about, from Pagan academics, in order to build a stronger foundation.  One that offers training in the skills we need in order to better serve our communities, and to assure their healthy sustainability.

This past Summer I went to two family reunions, one mine and the other my partner's, plus my Craft family's biennial Dandelion Gathering in the Ozarks.  CHS faculty member Grove Harris from Boston and CHS certificate recipient DragonWing from Tallahassee joined me in Missouri.

At Summer's end I attended a dinner hosted by the Hindu American Foundation, a young organization that had given CHS chaplaincy advisor Patrick McCollum its Mahatma Ghandi Award for the Advancement of Religious Pluralism.

May all of you who celebrate Samhain share a blessed reunion with your Beloved Dead.

Meet Student B'Aylana Morgan
I am B'Aylana Morgan, an intra-faith Pagan minister. My Pagan interests are diverse, having been initiated as a third degree Priestess in Alexandrian Wicca, a member of a woman's spirituality group, and founder of Order of the Aurora, a coven based out of Grand Forks, North Dakota. Currently I am a member of Wichita Pagans, Global Faith in Action of Wichita, and my local neighborhood association. I am also enrolled in the graduate program at CHS with a focus on public ministry. I attained my B.A. in anthropology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2001 and approach my theological studies with a multi-cultural framework. Perhaps this is why inter- and intra-faith involvement are so important to me.

My goals are to eventually be a part of an urban Pagan temple that welcomes Pagans of all traditions as well as Pagan-friendlies of the larger community. As a member of this temple, I would like to aid in public outreach and education, be a Pagan representative in the interfaith community, and participate in medical and university chaplaincy.

Cherry Hill has been an invaluable resource to me. I have found that my courses give me practical information that is pertinent to my ministry as well as provide deep self-evaluation and personal growth. It is impossible to come out of Boundaries and Ethics without a greater sense of who you are and are not as well as what you can and cannot do.  I am grateful for the interaction with high-caliber students and teachers at CHS that have increased my prowess as an academic as well as catalyzed spiritual evolution.

On a personal note, I live with my husband, Dan, and two young boys in the heart of Wichita, Kansas.  I am a group fitness instructor and also enjoy gardening, cooking, belly dancing, mixed martial arts, and spending time with my Morgan men.
