Help Us Get The Word Out
There's no doubt that Cherry Hill Seminary is one of the better kept secrets around as most people still have no idea such an animal exists. Telling our story is one of our major objectives for 2010 and you can help!
Many of our staff, board members and students are now able to come to your gathering or event and give a short presentation about Cherry Hill Seminary and what we have to offer. A beautiful media presentation, brochure, FAQ and other handouts, plus easy instructions for hosts, make it painless and maybe even fun for you to be the first in your area to introduce folks to the world's only Pagan seminary.
Other ways you can support CHS are to link to our web site, mention us often on your FaceBook or other page, share your newsletter with friends and listserves you are on, and donate ad space in your event program or magazine.

Wildflower and Herb Walk in the Marin Headlands Benefit for Cherry Hill Seminary
Celebrate Mother Earth in Her Spring Glory
with Anna Korn and Corby Lawton
Anna Korn has a Masters Degree in Plant Ecology and has led plant walks in many parts of the Bay Area. Corby Lawton wanders the hills of Marin year-round drawing and photographing wildflowers. He keeps an entire hill near Fairfax free of invasive French broom. We will take a leisurely, instructive walk on the Miwok Trail through wetlands and up into the hills. Bring hat, sunscreen, water, a bag lunch and anything else you need for your comfort. This walk is suitable for less robust folks as well as the very fittest. Click here for a map and directions.

Registration for Summer Intensive Still Open
Have you ever served as 'pastoral counselor' to a close friend? Priestessed the dying of a beloved family member? Mediated between two feuding neighbors? How did you distinguish between your role in that situation and the other roles you might have with the same people at other times? Where are the necessary boundaries? This summer's Academic Intensive, Graceful Transitions, will focus on managing (or juggling) the many roles required of those who serve as clergy, counselors, chaplains, or leadership in small and large spiritual groups.Gathering: June 24-27 in a beautiful location in Western Massachusetts. This is a chance to meet some of your classmates and instructors face to face; a chance to work together with more than just words.Duration: Class will run on the website June 1 through July 20; homework and discussion are required both before and after our in-person gathering. Students can expect 25 hours of work before and after the gathering and about 20 hours of work face to face for a total of 45 hours and 1 credit hour.Prerequisite: Ethics and Boundaries in Fall 08 or later (or contact us for permission) Register now |

Water and Spirit
"Loving Lakes," a feature article by CHS student Tom Gordon was recently featured in the Spring 2010 issue of LakeLine, the magazine of the North American Lake Management Society. The article was based on Tom's final paper for the CHS Ecopsychology course. Tom is a founding member of NALMS, and the Executive Director of the Maine Association of Conservation Districts. Tom has given us permission to share a pdf file of his article, including the beautiful photographs of North American lakes which illustrate it. To receive a copy, email your request. Congratulations, Tom!
Keep us abreast of your successes and accomplishments so we can celebrate with you. |
