VisionFirst Eye Center:
Our Experience with VisionConnect
By: Tammie Griffin, COE, COT Clinic Operations Manager

They say it takes a village to a raise a family. So, too, it takes caring people to meet the needs of our valued patients. At VisionFirst Eye Center, we are the heart of partnerships that interface over seven different technology programs to meet the needs of our medically-savvy, busy patients. Two of these important programs include our Medflow ophthalmology-specific electronic medical records system (or EMR) and Medflow VisionConnect online patient portal.

Clinical Summary Process

We have received customer feedback that the amount of information patients are receiving as a clinical summary is overwhelming. Doctors have told us that patients prefer to have a more concise summary.

As a certified EHR, we are restricted in our options. However, Medflow has determined that there is an alternative since the physician has more control over the content of the clinical summary given to patients.

Click here to learn more on how to create a more concise summary.
