Greetings!
More good news! The state just this week released their new school ratings (Multiple Measures Rating System, MMR - the alternate rating to the NCLB system) and CVA has been recognized as the TOP ON-LINE SCHOOL in the state! We also have been rated as 3rd best among Title1 Charter Schools (Title 1 is a program that helps students with extra need in reading and math), 7th among all charter schools in the state and in the top 100 of ALL schools of every type, size, grade range and demographics. Click here for a document from the MN Assn. of Charter School website with more details. We currently have waiting lists in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades! We are glad that the many years of hard work by our faculty, staff and CVA families to make CVA a quality school are being recognized. |

Thank You Recyclers!
Many thanks to those who have been bringing in the aluminum cans for recycling. The money that they earn when they are turned in is used to fund incentives and other incidentals in the Special Education department that aren't covered by the budget. Every little bit helps! Thanks for pitching in!

Our classes provide the general framework for advancing your study of Chinese without grades or required homework assignments. We have small class sizes. All of our instructors are native speakers of Chinese and several of them are graduate students at the University who are studying teaching Chinese as a second language.

Calling All Books!
It's time for spring cleaning! Return those CVA library books! Here are some places you may want to search: in the car, under the bed, between the couch cushions, on the shelf, in your tree fort, and at your Grandma's house. The library is now closed for the school year. You may continue to return books as you find them, but items are no longer available for checkout.
