9/11 Remembrance Ceremony: A Service of Ash, Water, and Light Sunday, September 11 from 8 PM to 9 PM FSU Clock Tower FSU President Jonathan Gibralter and community members will share their personal stories about 9-11 and its aftermath in this service for all faiths. The service will end with a candlelight litany of resistance for us all to be light in a dark world - passing the peace in the form of passing the flame of the candle. |

Help strengthen your ability to have open conversations about intimacy, relationships, sex, sexual health, sexuality and sexual assault. Sexversations is highly interactive and requires your answers and thoughts. Bring your cellphone - you will be able to text your thoughts in so they can be incorporated into the program!

Seventeen year old Alec Loorz is the founder of Kids vs Global Warming, a non profit organization committed to teaching young people about the science and solution of climate change and inspiring them to make good decisions now that will impact our future. Loorz is an advocate for change; he wants to ensure that change happens now so that we can have a cleaner future. He is even suing the U.S. government to get them to fulfill their obligation to protect the atmosphere as a public trust for his generation. Kids vs Global Warming launched a global campaign called the iMatter March which spans over 40 countries.

Can't have a pet at home? Want one at school?!
The Allegany County Animal Shelter has a "Semester Foster" program which allows off-campus students to enjoy the companionship of an animal without the long-term commitment. Students will house the animal for the duration of the semester, but then they have the option to adopt the pet or to return it to the shelter.
This is Coco, a female Beagle who was a stray. She is very sweet and is need of a home!

Accepting Nominations for the President's Leadership Circle
Eligible students are those who have
- Completed 75 or more credit hours
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Demonstrated leadership
- An expected graduation date of Spring 2012 or later
The President's Leadership Circle will:
- Develop their leadership skills
- Enhance their intercultural communication skills
- Engage in a service-learning project in another culture
- Network with distinguished alumni
