THE END OF THE SEMESTER IS FINALLY HERE! After this weekend we will be digging deep into our textbooks and trying to pass all of our classes. The last day of school is on Tuesday, May 10th, Reading Say is on Wednesday, May 11th, and exams start on Thursday, May 12th and last finish up the 18th. Congratulations to all seniors whose day is finally here. Saturday, May 21, 2011 is the Frostburg State University Commencement which will take place in Cordts PE Center Main Arena. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will take place at 9:00 AM. The College of Business and College of Education will be having their commencement at 2:00 PM.

This Thursday, if you like to dance, join SGA/UPC at their Aloha Dance from 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM in the Cordts PE Center Auxiliary Gym. Springfest and the SGA Showdown is set to take place on Saturday May 7, 2011 from 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Bobcat Stadium Football Field so come have enjoy the festivities. FREE FOOD will be given at the BURG Peer Education Network Arr-BQ this Sunday with games, activities, and prizes. Honor Father Ed Hendricks at his Farewell Reception this upcoming Tuesday on May 10, 2011. He has been an inspiration to all of us and he would love to see your smiling face!

Aloha Frostburg! The University Programming Council presents our Annual Springfest event!  Come to Bobcat Stadium this Saturday, May 7 to enjoy tons of free games and entertainment! Events include an Inflatable Obstacle Course, Slip n Slide, Rock Wall, Mechanical Bull, Quad Pod Trampolines, and Make Your Own Flip Flops. This year's theme is Spring Fever! Burst Into Spring and entertainment will be provided by "Truusoul" and "Bond and Bentley."  The cafeteria will be closed for dinner and moved to the stadium from 4:30-6:30.  There will be giveaways and contests throughout the day.  Don't miss it!

Cultural Events Series would like to congratulate the University Chorale directed by Karen Soderberg-Sarnaker for the role they played in the presentation of Verdi Requiem over the weekend of April 30 and May 1. The presentation performed by the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, FSU University Chorale and Cumberland Choral Society was enjoyed by the community including FSU's faculty, staff and students, calling it "world class," "impeccable," and "tremendous." Congratulations on a job well done!
