SPOTLIGHTONLINE YOUR GUIDE TO CAMPUS EVENTS & OPPORTUNITIES
November 6-12, 2010
|
Greetings! Bonjour means "Hello" in French!
Now that homecoming is almost over the end of the semester is quickly approaching. We have passed the halfway point and now have five more weeks until classes are over. With that said I want everyone to finish out the semester strong and do your best in all of your classes. You, the students, are the ones that make FSU a great school. Furthermore, a great school cannot be possible without great people like you!
So stay strong through the next few weeks as finals quickly approach. Remember that your professors are here to help you and there are several programs such as the tutoring center that can help you through those tough classes. Get out there, get involved and finish the semester STRONG! Robert CooperDirector of Student Activities

| Bayanihan Philippine National Dance Company Thursday November 11, 2010 7:30 PM Performing Arts Center Pealer Recital Hall Tickets: Adult - $20 Under 17 - $14 FSU Employee - $14 FSU Student - $3
Bayanihan is an ancient Filipino word meaning "patriotism or love of country." Since its creation in 1957, the Bayanihan Philippine National Dance Company has been working to educate audiences on the cultural traditions and folklore of the Philippines through dazzling theatrical presentations and traditional music. Now, the company will bring its unique presentation to Mountain Maryland. Their extravagant dances require a combination of precise movement, balance and skill from its company members. Everything from the music to the choreography to the lighting to the costumes is intricately planned to show homage and patriotism to the motherland. It's a cultural experience that transcends borders and is both entertaining and emotional.
