UPC International Film: Royal Messenger (Nigeria) Royal Messengers is a fine example of Nollywood comedy. It tells the story about King Igwe who has 21 daughters, but no son to take his place - or so he thought. He may have a son living in Lagos. But how can he have a son he knows nothing about? How will he be found in 30 days? Who will travel to Lagos to find him? (2003).

Streb Extreme Action Company: RAW
Wednesday March 10, 2010 4:30 pm - General Admission $10, FSU Student $3
7:30 pm - Call for Availability
FSU Performing Arts Center, Drama Theatre
Is it daredevil stunts? Is it extreme action? Is it dance? It's a combination of all three. "Streb Extreme Action Company
is an in-your-face dance experience that combines constant action,
daring movement and high energy that will leave the audience reeling
and the dancers spinning (sometimes literally on a revolving stage).
The brainchild of choreographer Elizabeth Streb, who has been called
"the Evel Knieval of Dance," Streb Extreme Action Company's conditioned
dancers take audiences on a journey of perpetual motion of constant
leaping, bounding and soaring. The stage itself is an action platform
amped by a rotating floor of plywood, steel and other common building
materials. Audiences will be on the edge of their seats as the
never-ending energy on stage wows them over and over again.
"Streb's
unique movement art - kin to sport, circus, physics experiment and hard
labor - has reached a peak of theatrically and dare-all virtuosity." - Village Voice
