Ask Jodi...
Q: In Handle with Care, in your opinion how do you think the O'Keefe family remains unbreakable despite everything they've gone through?
JP: I honestly don't know about that. They suffer some intense tragedies. I do think that as a result of them, they have a much better sense of what's really important in life - i.e. family, and not money.
Q: After reading The Pact, I wondered why Emily never told anyone about the abuse, not even Chris?
JP: Remember that scene where she writes something to Chris, puts it in the tin can, and sends it out...only to have the can break? And how at the end, Chris finds the can and the note that's been bleached by age and weather? Well, I like to think she TRIED to tell Chris...but it didn't work out.
Q: Will Sing You Home be made into a movie? JP: I certainly hope so. Ellen DeGeneres is producing it and has been working very hard to attach actresses and screenwriters. Believe me, as soon as I know anything, I'll tell you.
Q: What book(s) are you reading? JP: I have just downloaded Stephen King's newest book onto my Kindle.
Q: What music is in your iPod or car?
JP: For Christmas, my son Jake recorded two new songs -- Georgia on my Mind, and Home (by Michael Buble) -- so I listen to those on repeat!

Mrs. Picoult,
My name is Brianna P. and I am a huge fan of your writing. My all time favorite of your books is House Rules. This book is my favorite because I can relate to it more than most people know. I myself have Aspergers Syndrome. I have a very mild form that was diagnosed in 2003. I had a difficult childhood of bullying, family issues and just not knowing who I was. Now that I am older, almost 21, I have researched this disorder over and over again to try and find insight to myself, but no matter how much research I did, nothing seemed to convince me that I was ok. That is when this book came along. House Rules gave me more insight into myself and my feelings than any research ever could. I learned more about myself from reading this book than anything else I could have ever done. I am so happy that this book is so popular because it shows how kids with Aspergers function from their eyes, their point of view. This is what I have been waiting for. People ask me what it is like to have Aspergers, and the response I give them is to read your book. I love your writing and House Rules will forever be my favorite book. The last thing I want to say is thank you. Thank you for helping me find myself. I will always be grateful, thank you.
