Find Your Creative MoJo with Laura
|
Laura Murray
Artist, entrepreneur, teacher, and author, Laura began her experimentation with textile color and texture in 1989. Her work, which appears in books, magazines, quilt calendars, and DVDs, includes wearable art and award-winning quilts. Laura's passionate response to surface design resulted in designing her favorite images in a stencil collection, soon followed by a series of stamp sets, including StarBuilders, along with authoring her book, "StarBuilder Inspirations". Her recent work led to the development of a technique using stamps, paintstiks, and fusbile web to easily create seemingly complex designs without sewing. Laura was voted ASE teacher of the year in 2010. Laura's Seminars: Painstick Inspiration Sat 12:00 noon Painted Blocks Fri 1:30 PM StarBuilder Sensations Sun 2:30 PM Visit Laura's website |

|
May 5 - 13, 2013
The dates are set, the hotel is booked and we have already begun to plan the fashion sewing trip of a lifetime just for you!
Join other sewing enthusiasts as we tour NYC, visit designers' workrooms, costume makers, see a Broadway play, shop for fabrics, leathers, trims, buttons and sew much more....!
To learn more about how you can be one of the lucky 20 who join us on the 2013 tour click the picture above.
This tour took all the fears of visiting a big city away. With Marsha and Marla guiding us on to the correct subway or bus we visited the inner sanctums of designers, wholesale fabric houses, found little niche fabric shops. We cruised around Manhattan island and dined very well. I just wish I could have done this 40 years ago but I experienced it in this lifetime. Don't put this trip off!! Cherry Delaney
