Young Designer Reality Show!
"This show could be as big or bigger than Project Runway for the future of sewing!"

The latest Style Network show takes a revealing peek into the world of fashion prodigy Cecilia Cassini, a 12-year-old girl with an incredible knack for fashion design.

Despite her age, Cecilia's talent for style has turned her into a national sensation, and her work has been worn by some of Hollywood's hottest stars. Now, the cameras follow Cecilia and her supportive family as they prepare for a major trunk show and attempt to expand her line.

See Confessions of a Fashionette this Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 pm. Watch the Style Network to discover when the first season will start.

Also visit: Cecilia's blog and Cecilia's facebook

Confessions of a Fashionette is just one of the TV show examples of young fashion sewers that will no doubt inspire the next generation.
New Website
With the help of our friends at Like Sew Websites we have launched the new NSC website. Here you will find basic information about NSC, the membership application, survey results, links to our newsletters and free downloadable projects that have been tested to be interesting and alluring to the new sewer.

All members of NSC receive a $100 discount on website development. Having worked with several web development companies over the years, I can highly recommend Like Sew. Without exception, the staff is always courteous, prompt and diligent! It doesn't get any better than that!!

Visit National Sewing Council website.
 Pinterest
........what is it and why do I want it?
Pinterest is the fastest growing social media site today! We have been using it for a few short months and here's what I know; its fun, entertaining, very useful and extremely viral!

Here's the Pinterest goal:
Our goal is to connect everyone in the world through the 'things' they find interesting. We think that a favorite book, toy, or recipe can reveal a common link between two people. With millions of new pins added every week, Pinterest is connecting people all over the world based on shared tastes and interests.

As with all new things "internet" the only real way to understand it is to use it. And of course it is constantly changing as the users begin to define it's purpose.
