Shown here with optional center column, these are welcome additions to our line of US-made carbon fiber tripods. We'll have these new tripods in our booth at Photoshop World, so stop by and check them out if you're there.

New Items Shipping this Week!

We're thrilled to ship two new products: our TA-3-LB Leveling Base for our TVC-33 tripod and our PG-02 Panning Gimbal Head.

TA-3-LB Leveling Base
This robust leveling base is the lightest in its class. At only 10.5 ounces, this leveling base provides 15-degrees of leveling. The large 12mm bullseye spirit level is easy to see, and the textured rubber grip handle makes locking fast and solid. This leveling base is an excellent partner with our TVC-33 tripod, but it also fits Gitzo Series 3 Systematics.

PG-02 Panning Gimbal Head
Buy the new PG-02 Panning-Gimbal head that Joe & Joan field tested in Botswana. This head excels as a gimbal head with the biggest of lenses, but also as a panorama head. Available with either lever-release or screw-knob clamps.

PG-02 LLR with lever-release clamp, or
PG-02 Pro/L with screw-knob clamp.

Botswana: RRS on Safari
Part One: What Worked, What Didn't
by Joe Johnson, owner

In the Landrover

"Joan and I were blessed to spend 9 days on safari in Botswana at the end of July/beginning of August. This was our first ever trip to Africa and I'm excited to share our experience with you in a multi-part series. The first installment will be on gear, the second will focus on my favorite images of the trip (which I'm still processing), and the third (if needed) will comprise any other trip-related experiences that don't neatly fit the in the first two. I'll do my best to get all three out in short succession."

Really Right Site beta site

We've been slowly building a new website for quite a while, and we're finally inching closer to release. Though not ready for prime time yet, we thought we'd throw the URL out there and ask for your input. Check it out here:

Remember, there are still some bugs and kinks to work out, and the site may be unavailable at times. Use our regular site at to place your orders. But I think you'll agree that the new look and feel is a welcome change. Send any comments and/or suggestions to Brian.

Happy shooting!
