Medical Training and Equipment
There are many great reasons to get trained properly in First Aid and CPR.  Unfortunately there always seems to be more pressing reasons why you shouldn't, couldn't, or wouldn't do it today.  This also includes getting the right equipment.  Now, I am sure that many of you recognize the excuses I have listed here. So.... now which of your relatives, children or friends lives have you placed below these excuses? Basic First Aid, and CPR training will only take a few hours out of your day and can be scheduled for weekends as well.  If you have a firearm in your home, the Scooby Doo Band-Aid you have for you kids won't help.  Look at getting a first aid kit that can really help. Check out our website for kits and First Aid training.

FDA Warns About Fraudulent H1N1 Internet Drugs

by Phil Leggiere
Monday, 19 October 2009

Consumers urged to use caution when purchasing influenza drugs online. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning to consumers late last week to use extreme care when purchasing any products over the Internet that claim to diagnose, prevent, treat or cure the H1N1 influenza virus.

The warning came after the FDA recently purchased and analyzed several products represented online as Tamiflu (oseltamivir), which may pose risks to patients.

One of the orders, according to the FDA, arrived in an unmarked envelope with a postmark from India, and consisted of unlabeled, white tablets taped between two pieces of paper. The tablets were found after analysis to contain talc and acetaminophen. The Web site of the vendor disappeared shortly after the FDA placed the order.

Facebook, Twitter users beware: Crooks are a mouse click away
By Stephanie Chen CNN
(CNN) -- If you're on Facebook, Twitter or any other social networking site, you could be the next victim. Experts say cybercrooks are lurking just a mouse click away on popular social networking sites.

That's because more cyberthieves are targeting increasingly popular social networking sites that provide a gold mine of personal information, according to the FBI. Since 2006, nearly 3,200 account hijacking cases have been reported to the Internet Crime Complaint Center, a partnership between the FBI, the National White Collar Crime Center and the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
It starts with a friend updating his or her status or sending you a message with an innocent link or video. Maybe your friend is in distress abroad and needs some help.
All you have to do is click.
