Do you know if a sexual predator lives or works near your family?

OSC is now a honored to announce our new website. This site is provided in partnership with Family Watchdog LLC at no cost.

Family Watchdog allows you to see where registered sexual offenders live and work around you.

We can proactively notify you when a registered sexual predator moves within five miles of a given address that you care about. We can also track offenders and send you notifications if the specified offender has a change.

Take a pro-active role in personal safety RTBAV Logo
Refuse To Be A Victim is a two to four hour seminar geared toward awareness and prevention of criminal confrontations. Topics include home, automobile, personal and Internet security. We show how to integrate common-sense safety strategies into your own individual lifestyle. The seminar is not about guns, nor is it about joining the NRA. It simply provides participants with the information needed to minimize their chances of criminal attack. Refuse To Be A Victim is a co-ed program, although seminars for women only may be scheduled.

Experts agree the single most important factor in surviving a criminal attack is to have an overall safety strategy before you need it. Now, through a confidential seminar called Refuse To Be A Victim, you can learn the personal safety tips and techniques you need to avoid dangerous situations, and avoid becoming a victim.

These seminars are conducted all over the country at colleges, schools, community centers and businesses. Please contact us if you believe that the RTBAV program might be of interest to you, your employer or organization.

Great! You've taken the NRA Basic Pistol Class and you have your permit!  Now what?

range
It is now up to you to become more proficient, accurate and safe with your pistol. When handling any firearm, remember that it is a tool to be used with discretion and safety. Always point it in a SAFE DIRECTION, NEVER place your finger on the trigger unless you are ready to shoot and ALWAYS know your target and what is beyond it.

The NRA Basic Pistol Class is just that...... a basic class.  You now need to spend the time necessary to become familiar with your pistol.  We offer one on one training as well as group training for those looking to increase their knowledge of their firearm.

If you are intending to use your new firearm for the defense of your home, OSC offers the NRA Personal Protection In The Home course.  This class is conducted in your own home so that we can make it specific to you.  You will learn safe firearm handling, mental preparation, developing defensive shooting skills, strategies for home and personal safety and much more.

A few tips for SAFETY

  • Never hide an extra key under a mat, in a flower pot, or in any other easily accessible place.  Criminals know all the hiding places.

  • If you use a wheelchair or live with people taller or shorter than you, ensure a wide angle door viewer is installed at a height beneficial to all residents.
