 Hiring Challenges?
Training Funds Available

Are you having a hard time finding qualified workers to fill your positions?  Consider utilizing the funds from the National Emergency Grant for On-the-Job Training to offset the cost of training a new employee with the skills you need. Send an email to Renee.Hansen@GORacine.org and ask her how your company can qualify for reimbursement up to 90% of your new hire's wages during the training period.  It's a simple process, don't wait, these high re-imbursement rates won't be available much longer!
Tri-County Veterans & Community Job Fair

Employers - there is still time to register!  Join us on Wednesday, July 20th at the Kenosha County Center (Hwy 45 & 50) as you will have the opportunity to meet with Veterans and job seekers with a variety of skills from the Tri-County area.  This event is NO COST to you!

 Employer Spotlight

The Racine County Workforce Development Center is in need of updated photos!  We are looking for businesses that would like to "showcase" their organizations in our building.  If you have any photos of your company, employees, or logos that you would like to share, please let us know.  Once your photos are collected, we will customize and frame a digital photo collage.  These frames will then be displayed throughout the Center in our meeting rooms, hallways, and classrooms.  For more information please contact Len Maki at 262-638-6639.

Thank you DeltaHawk Diesel Engines for sharing your photos!

 Retention Strategies

Send Decline Notices.  For those people you decide not to hire, send an email, make a call, send a letter, in some way recognize that these individuals spent valuable time to apply/interview for your open position(s) and thank them.  You may be surprised how much this practice affects the perception or brand of your organization.
