 Employer Spotlight

The Racine County Workforce Development Center is in need of updated photos!  We are looking for employers that would like to be "showcased" in our building.  If you have any photos of your company, employees, or logos that you would like to share, please let us know.  Once your photos are collected, we will customize and frame a digital photo collage.  These frames will then be displayed throughout our meeting rooms.  For more information please contact Jane Kurylo at 262-638-6603.
Cut Costs and Save Money on Training

Federal stimulus funds are available through On The Job Training (OJT) programs to help employers who hire and train dislocated workers who have lost jobs during the recession.  This program is designed to reimburse employers for a portion of the costs associated with training above and beyond the normal "new hire" training.  If you are going to be hiring any individuals give us a call to see if you are eligible to receive these training dollars.

On April 12th, the New Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Manny Perez, spoke to our business community about how one of the keys to a successful Wisconsin Workforce is cutting Workers' Compensation costs by focusing on Safety Training.  The amount you save on Workers' Compensation costs could be critical to your organization's success.  There are a several grants available in our community that may be applicable to support Safety Training for Racine County businesses.  To explore these programs and other potential alternatives, connect with your Business Consultant or Jane Kurylo at 262-638-6603 to learn more!
