Alyssa Aparicio is from Lyford, Texas.  She is attending Texas State University in San Marcos and is working towards a degree in anthropology with a minor in Geography.  She is a student representative for TSU's honors program.  Alyssa's father, Luis Aparicio, is a truck driver for Federated Petroleum.

 

Megan Beaudry is from Albertville, Minnesota.  She is attending the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she is double majoring in accounting and business communication.  She was a cross country, basketball and track athlete all four years at St. Michael-Albertville High School.  Megan's father, Dale Beaudry, is a manager of Beaudry Oil & LP Company.

 

Krishan Bhagat is from Fayetteville, Georgia.  He is dual-enrolled at Clayton State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology and is majoring in engineering or pharmacy. He was involved in the Georgia state science fair for the past two years.  Krishan's mother, Mina Bhagat, is an account manager with Spalding Gas.

Michael Bonde is from Buffalo, Minnesota.  He attends Montana State University and is studying engineering.  Michael owned a red-tailed hawk that he trained in the sport of falconry.  His father, Jeff Bonde, is a sales representative for Metro Lift Propane, a division of Heritage Propane.

 

Emily Brownson is from Sanger, California.  She attends California State University-Fresno and  plans to major in nursing or biology.  Emily was a participant in the Upward Bound Program and graduated from high school a year early.   Emily's father, David Brownson, is a service technician with J S West Propane.

 

Benjamin Buesing is from Rich Hill, Missouri.  He attends the University of Missouri-Columbia and majors in agri-business management.  Benjamin is the past vice president of the national Future Farmers of America.  His father, Brian Buesing, is a regional propane sales manager for Midwest Fertilizer.

 

Joseph Camp is from Paxton, Illinois.  He is a senior at Eastern Illinois University where he is majoring in economics.  Between college semesters, Joseph rebuilds and paints propane tanks for return to commercial and residential use.  Joseph's father, Danny Camp, is a special projects coordinator for Rocket Supply Corporation.

 

Nancy Cates is from Waynesboro, Georgia.  She attends Gardner-Webb University and plans to major in some form of science.  Nancy was a successful sprinter in high school and will run track for Gardner-Webb.  Nancy's father, Pete Cates, is a co-owner of TruFlame Gas Company in Waynesboro.

Curtis Christensen is from Ellsworth, Wisconsin.  He is attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he is majoring in mechanical design and minoring in business management.  Curtis enjoyed playing youth hockey and now serves as a referee for the league he used to play in.  Curtis' father, Gale Christensen, is a branch manager for Lakes Gas Company.

 

Stephanie Cox is from Blanchard, Idaho.  She attends the University of Idaho were she plans to major in animal science or pre-veterinary science.  Stephanie was a distance runner on her high school track team and also played softball.  Stephanie's father, Robert Cox, is a propane plant manager for City Service Valcon.

Kara Craig is from Heltonville, Indiana.  She is attending the University of Evansville working towards a degree in exercise science with the eventual goal of becoming a physical therapist.  Among her many community service projects, Kara helped raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation.  Kara's father, Kevin Craig, is employed by Manchester Tank and Equipment.

Tonya Crockett is from Rocklin, California.  She attends Eastern New Mexico University where she is enrolled in the Pre-Med/Physical Therapy Program and  will be a member of the softball team. Tonya was her high school's senior class president and led her school in community service hours. Tonya's father, Lester Crockett, is a technician for Northern Energy Propane, a division of Heritage Propane.

 

Kristen del Villar is from Las Cruces, New Mexico.  She is attending New Mexico State University where she is studying animal science. Kristen is very active in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Kristen's mother, Michele Lewis, is an office assistant with Griffin's Propane.

 

Cameron Donaldson is from Williamston, North Carolina. He attends East Carolina University where he plans to study biology.  He eventually hopes to become an oncologist. Cameron's stepfather, Robert Rogerson, is a driver for Baker Gas Company.

 

Wendy Fincham is from Gordonsville, Virginia.  She is attending Piedmont Virginia Community College working towards a degree in nursing.  Being a nurse has always been her dream. Wendy's father, Jeffrey Fincham, is a gas service technician with Blossman Gas.

 

Amy Fore is from Mora, Minnesota.  She is a sophomore at Bemidji State University. Amy is studying biology and plans to become a physician's assistant. Amy has been on mission trips to rebuild damaged homes in New Orleans and Jamaica. Amy's mother, Jane Skramstad, is secretary/owner of Town and Country Oil.

 

Sara Gerdeman is from Warrenton, Missouri.  She is a senior at the University of Missouri-Columbia and is majoring in plant science. She raises Californian rabbits and shows them in competitions around the nation. Sara's mother, Deborah Schroeder, is a customer service representative for Marlen Gas, a subsidiary of Heritage Propane.

 

Jonathan Goodson is from Salem, Arkansas. He is a sophomore plant science major at the Arkansas State University in the fall.  He is active in the collegiate FFA and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. Jonathan's father, Garry Goodson, is a sales and delivery representative for AmeriGas.

 

Kevin Hall is from Campbell, Nebraska. He is a sophomore business administration major at the University of Nebraska-Kearney in the fall. Kevin helped build a house with Habitat for Humanity while on a mission trip. Kevin's parents, Doug and Lori Hall, own and manage Hall's Oil, Inc.

 

Clarissa Havens is from Sussex, New Jersey.  She is attending Houghton College working towards a degree in biology. Clarissa hopes to work in agriculture and help people in third world countries support themselves.  Clarissa's father, Daren Havens, is Director of Safety and Compliance with L.P. Transportation, Inc.

 

Robert Helms, IV, is from Huntersville, North Carolina. He is attending North Carolina State University working towards a degree in engineering. Robert is an Eagle Scout. Robert's mother, Wendy Helms, is a customer service representative for Lake Norman Propane.

 

Bailey Hixson is from Jamesport, Missouri. She will attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City in the fall and plans to earn a degree in nursing. Bailey held many class and organizational officer positions while attending Tri-County High School. Bailey's stepfather, Greg Landes, is president and CEO of Landes Oil and Propane.

 

Logan Holliday is from Pell City, Alabama. She is attending Jefferson State Community College working towards a degree in nursing.  Logan was heavily involved in band and FFA at Pell City High School. Logan's mother, Dawn Holliday, is a customer service representative for Coast Gas, a Heritage Propane company.

Joseph Hutt is from Boyd, Minnesota. He is attending Alexandria Technical College where he is majoring in business management, sales and marketing. Joseph was an active FFA member in high school. Joseph's father, David Hutt, owns and manages Hutt Oil Company, Inc.

Kyle Imdieke is from Sauk Centre, Minnesota. He attends St. Cloud State University and plans to major in mechanical engineering. Kyle is very musical, having been in his high school band, chorus and fall musicals. Kyle's father, David Imdieke, is an employee of CHS/Prairie Lakes Coop.

 

Courtney Johnson is from Hill City, Minnesota. She attends Itasca Community College and studies agricultural education.  Courtney has been a 4-H member for over ten years and has had several community service opportunities with 4-H. Courtney's stepfather, William Becker, is an HVAC technician with Federated Coops, Inc.

 

Andrea Kiehl is from Ford City, Pennsylvania. She attends the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she plans to major in art with a concentration in graphic design. She was the editor and designer for her high school yearbook. Andrea's father, Robert Kiehl, is a service technician with Suburban Energy.

 

Chelsey Legacy is from Burke, New York. She attends St. Lawrence University where she plans to study engineering.  Chelsey has enjoyed the creative outlet afforded to her by dance classes. Chelsey's stepfather, Dwight McLaughlin, is a sales representative for Pyrofax/Inergy Propane.

 

Lindsey Lenser is from Superior, Wisconsin. She attends the University of Wisconsin-Superior, where she plans to major in business administration with a focus on marketing. Lindsey was an active member of the Future Business Leaders of America at Spooner High School. Lindsey's mother, Joan Lenser, is the accounts receivable manager at WK Appliance and Propane Company.

 

Ashley Losing is from Alpena, South Dakota. She is a sophomore  at South Dakota State University and is majoring in pre-pharmacy. In addition to a multitude of extracurricular activities, Ashley was valedictorian of her high school class. Ashley's mother, DeVonne Losing, is a bookkeeper for Alpena Coop Service.

 

Annette Lytle is from Beatrice, Nebraska. She is beginning her senior year at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she is majoring in fisheries and wildlife. Annette plans to work in animal rehabilitation and was a volunteer in a program in Australia that made infrastructure improvements without disturbing wildlife.  Annette's mother, Anita Lytle, is the propane secretary for Farmers Coop.

 

Cara McCauley is from Crawfordsville, Indiana. She attends Cornell University where she plans to study biomedical engineering. Cara was valedictorian of her high school class, editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper and was involved in many other organizations and sports teams. Cara's mother, Tammy Shoaf, is a retail propane manager for Overpeck Gas Company.

 

Amanda Micieli is from Landing, New Jersey. She attends Messiah College and plans to major in history. She enjoyed participating in the color guard of her high school marching band as well as singing in the school's chorus. Amanda's father, Michael Micieli, is a dispatcher for Suburban Propane.

 

Leigh Morson is from Clarksdale, Mississippi. She attends Mississippi College where she plans to major in biology with the eventual goal of becoming a dermatologist who specializes in skin cancer treatment. Leigh was inducted into her high school's student hall of fame. Leigh's father, John Morson, manages Morson and Windham Oil Company, Inc.

 

Kayla Murray is from Lenox Dale, Massachusetts. She attends Berkshire Community College where she plans to major in business. Kayla has been very active in Big Brothers Big Sisters and hopes to own a bookstore someday. Kayla's mother, Lisa Thornber, is a customer relations representative with AmeriGas.

 

Spenser Naylor is from Albany, Missouri. She attends the University of Missouri and plans to major in history. She was homecoming queen and an outstanding track and field athlete while attending Albany High School. Spenser's father, Rick Naylor, is president and owner of New Hampton Hardware, a propane retailer.

 

Mikayla Pardon is from Imlay City, Michigan.  She is beginning her sophomore year at Grand Valley State University and is considering several possible degree programs. Mikayla participated in five sports and numerous community service and charitable projects while in high school. Mikayla's mother, Dawn Parson, is a secretary at Al Parsch Oil and Propane Company.

Vanessa Peach is from Stockton, Missouri. She began her senior year as a mathematics major at Pittsburg State University. As a young girl, Vanessa would often ride along with her father on propane deliveries. Vanessa's parents, Tim and Mary Peach, are both employees of AmeriGas.

 

Taylor Pike is from Ashland, Nebraska. She will attend Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she plans to study biology. Taylor will be a member of the women's basketball team at Macalester. Taylor's mother, Julie Pike, is a bookkeeper/secretary for Great Plains Propane, Inc.

 

Amanda Roberts is from Emporia, Kansas. She is beginning her junior year at the University of Kansas where she is majoring in journalism and art history. Amanda was a student blood drive committee member at her high school and has continued that service at at the University of Kansas. Amanda's stepfather, Larry Mechtley, is vice president of S&S Oil and Propane Company, Inc.

 

Katie Ruhl is from Loganville, Georgia. She is attending Georgia College and State University where she is pursuing a degree in early childhood education. Katie is an active member of Gamma Sigma Sigma, a national community service sorority. Katie's father, Mark Ruhl, is a salesman for Rutherford Equipment, Inc.

Austin Saupe is from Laurel, Florida. He attends the State College of Florida and plans to become a physician's assistant or nurse practitioner. Austin's Eagle Scout project was to build a 10' by 10' aviary at a wildlife center to house injured birds and other animals. Austin's grandmother, Kittie Long, is an office manager for Calkins LP Gas Company.

 

Anna Schoonover is from Mound City, Missouri. She will be entering her junior year at Northwest Missouri State University where she is majoring in elementary education. Anna is heavily involved in the Baptist Student Union at NMSU. Anna's parents, Bryce and Patty Schoonover, own and operate Schoonover Oil Company, Inc.

 

Laura Schoonover is from Mound City, Missouri. She is a freshman at Northwest Missouri State University and plans to major in merchandising textiles, apparel and furnishings. Laura graduated first in her class from Mound City R-2 High School.  Laura's parents, Bryce and Patty Schoonover, own and operate Schoonover Oil Company, Inc.

 

Matthew Smith is from East Hazel Crest, Illinois. Matthew is a sophomore at Olivet Nazarene University and is studying mechanical engineering. He was salutatorian and male scholar athlete of the year for his high school class. Matthew's mother, Nancy Smith, is a market coordinator for AmeriGas.

Rachel Smith is from East Hazel Crest, Illinois. Rachel is a junior at Taylor University and is studying elementary education. She was a multi-sport athlete in high school and is a freshman orientation leader at Taylor. Rachel's mother, Nancy Smith, is a market coordinator for AmeriGas.

 

Jasen Sokol is from Avon Lake, Ohio. He is attending Baldwin-Wallace College working towards a degree in political science.  Jasen is the co-host and executive producer of a daily radio program at Baldwin-Wallace. Jasen's mother, Connie Forsmark, is a customer relations supervisor for AmeriGas.

 

Alyssa Swanson is from LaHarpe, Illinois. She is attending Western Illinois University where she is majoring in accounting.  Alyssa helped rebuild homes in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Alyssa's mother, Denise Swanson, is a bookkeeper for MPC Energy.

 

Sarah Szczepanski is from Lansdale, Pennsylvania. She is a junior at Bloomsfield University and is majoring in secondary education and German. Sarah has performed community service with Head Start and the Special Olympics. Sarah's father, Keith Szczepanski, is a technical service representative for Ray Murray, Inc.

 

 

 

Shelby Voss is from Mammoth Lakes, California. She attends the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where she will study visual communications. Shelby was vice president of her senior class and captain of the cheer team. Shelby's mother, Lisa Voss, is a customer service representative for Turner Propane, a subsidiary of Heritage Propane.

 

Zachary Webb is from Blue Springs, Missouri. He is entering his senior year at the University of Central Missouri where he is majoring in automotive technology management. Zachary is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers chapter at UCM.  Zachary's father, David Webb, is a purchasing and area sales manager for Bergquist, Inc.

 

Jill Weitgenant is from Hills, Minnesota. She is a junior at Northwestern College in Orange City, Minnesota, and is majoring in mathematics education. She is well on her way to achieving her life-long goal of becoming a teacher. Jill's father, Ned Wietgenant, is a bobtail driver and technician for Popkes Oil and Propane Company.

 

Anna Williams is from Newton, Mississippi. She is attending Mississippi State University-Meridian Campus working towards a degree in elementary education. Anna teaches a Sunday School class to young children. Anna's father, Virgil Williams, is a retail sales manager for Blossman Gas.

 

Andrew Wiseman is from Mishawaka, Indiana. He attends Purdue Univeristy and plans to major in health sciences. Andrew is an Eagle Scout and will be a member of the wrestling team at Purdue. Andrews's father, Bruce Wiseman, is a precision assembly welder for Manchester Tank and Equipment.

 

Jesse Yourish is from Port Townsend, Washington. He is a sophomore at Macalester College and is considering several career paths. Jesse has taught English in Thailand and is currently tutoring a Somali refugee who hopes to become a U.S. citizen. Jesse's father, Robert Yourish, is the chief financial officer of Sunshine Propane.
