Enjoy Chelan River overlooks on new trail
The Chelan River Gorge Reach 1 Trail takes walkers on a 4.5-mile round-trip route from the Riverwalk Loop Trail in downtown Chelan to Reach 1 of the Chelan River (the uppermost section of the 4-mile river that flows down to join the Columbia River at Chelan Falls). Along the way, watch for interpretive signs and benches at several scenic overlooks.
This trail was built by the PUD as part of its federal license to operate the Chelan Dam and is open year-round. |
Commissioners endorse strategic plan

The plan has been in the works for more than a year and is designed to align with customers' expectations and desires as voiced in opinion surveys, public meetings, focus groups and e-mails.
