Prayers for Bishop search ...
Our rector, Fr. Doug Hahn, and his wife, Kaye, returned Sunday from the Diocese of Lexington where he is one of six candidates for the seventh Bishop of Lexington. They participated in a "walkabout," touring the diocese and getting to know the people there. The election is Aug. 18 in Lexington. Here's a link to video interviews with each candidate. Please keep Doug and Kaye, as well as the Diocese of Lexington, in your prayers. This photo was taken during the walkabout. Photo courtesy of the Diocese of Lexington. |

Episcokids Updates
We look forward to a new school year beginning on Wednesday. Children's Choir is at a new time. It will start at 5:30. At 6:00 we will all gather for a family dinner in the Parish Hall and have Episcokid Formation class at 6:30. The class is an Episcopal communion instruction for children called "This Bread and This Cup." For those children with parents still involved in adult education programming, we will have childcare and activities. In addition, I am accepting school supply donations to help defray the cost of materials. Items most needed are glue bottles, glue sticks, markers and Fiskar scissors.
Blessings! Erin Redden, Children's Ministry director

Where in the world is St. Thomas Parish?
As you travel this summer, many of you will worship in other places. It is a joy to see the diversity of our wonderful Church. Drop us an email about any church you visit between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and we will start an ongoing list of links to the places we have encountered God.
Click here to see some of the other places we've been, and also learn how Episcokids can send their vacation photos. |
