Staff Changes at St. Thomas
We are sad to announce that Micki Parr, our Office Manager and Communications Director, will be leaving us after May 11. Her spouse has accepted a job in Richmond, VA, and they are leaving Columbus. Micki has been a great asset to our parish, and a delight for all to work with. We will miss her and we wish her well.
In the immediate weeks, Allison Kennedy will be managing our communications, and Patty Slembarski will be taking on some added responsibility in the office. If you need to make a submission to our weekly e-newsletter, please email it to Allison Kennedy at allisonkowen@aol.com. We are currently interviewing prospective replacements for Micki's position. Please take the opportunity to wish Micki well and to thank her for her fine contributions to St. Thomas.

Help Us Complete our Pledges to These Worthy Causes
During Lent, St. Thomas Episcopal Church was raising funds for three worthy causes: the Friends of Finley honorarium, the Church of the Common Ground (an Atlanta ministry for the homeless), and Infusion (a CVEM youth ministry). We are pleased to report that we have raised about 80% toward the goals we set for each of these funds. We have raised $4,725.59 for Friends of Finley; $832 for Church of the Common Ground; and $807 for Infusion.
We are eager to complete our pledges in full, and we encourage parishioners to continue their Lenten giving through the Easter season in order to achieve 100% of our goals.
Please contact the parish office to make a contribution. All checks may be made payable to St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Please indicate the ministry of your choice by writing it in the memo line of your check. Thank you for your continued generosity. |

St. Thomas to Honor 2012 Graduates
It's that time of year again! St. Thomas' office is now collecting names of 2012 graduates to honor in one of our upcoming May newsletters. Please call or email the office to submit your graduate's name, school, and a brief mention of his or her plans for after graduation (such as college in the fall or a job offer). We are accepting only graduates from high school, college degree programs, and advanced degree programs. The deadline to submit is Monday, May 14. Please note that we will only name those graduates who are submitted, so contact the office to ensure that your honoree is named!

Friends of Finley Commission Honorarium
A group calling itself "Friends of Finley" has been formed to create an honorarium for Finley Williamson's innumerable contributions to St. Thomas. This group has approached the church, and received the blessings of the Property Committee and the Vestry. The honorarium will be a mission-style oak server (pictured), designed and built by artisan Rick Garner. Mr. Garner is asking a discounted price of $5000. To contribute to this project, please make your check payable to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, with the memo "Friends of Finley" written in the memo line of your check. Our goal is to have the project completed by Finley's birthday on June 10. Please note that this is not a gift TO Finley, but it is a gift to St. Thomas Episcopal Church IN HONOR OF Finley. It will be enjoyed by all parishioners for many years to come. Thank you.
