St. Thomas Choir to Sell Poinsettias as Fundraiser - In Time for Christmas!

| |
The St. Thomas Choir will be selling beautiful, festive poinsettias as part of its fund-raising campaign to sponsor an exciting, inspiring Choir Trip to New York City. Choir members will soon begin taking orders for poinsettias, at the price of $15 each, and the Choir will retain 40% of the profits as funds for the Choir Trip. Please support this great cause, and you will enjoy your home filled with fresh, colorful poinsettias at Christmas! They also make great gifts!
The colors for sale are red, white, pink, marble, and "novelty" (red with white splatters!). Each poinsettia is grown in a 6-inch pot, and will measure approximately 15 inches tall by 15 inches across when it arrives. Each plant will arrive wrapped in a decorative pot cover and protected by a florist shipping sleeve. Poinsettias ordered will arrive at St. Thomas between November 28 and December 9. Checks can be made payable to St. Thomas Episcopal Church and marked "poinsettia".
If you have any questions about this fund-raiser, please contact Erin Redden at episcokids@stthomascolumbus.org, or call or text to 706-887-1340. |

Re-"arrangement" of the Flower Guild

| | |
Although you may not have known much about the St. Thomas Flower Guild in the past, we have undergone some recent changes. Going forward, the Flower Guild will be composed of a small number of volunteers who will donate as much of their time as their personal and professional lives allow. Together, these volunteers will be able to cover about 20 Sundays per year, on which they will select and arrange the altar flowers. For the remaining Sundays, St. Thomas will patronize Ann's Porch, a professional floral shop. This will enable us to provide a more beautiful, higher-quality product, and will help to compensate for our small number of volunteers and the demands on their time.
We are also accepting new volunteers to the Flower Guild to occasionally arrange flowers for the Sunday service, but prior experience in selecting, purchasing, and arranging flowers is preferred.
All parishioners are invited to support the Flower Guild by dedicating flowers in memory of or in honor of a friend or loved one on any Sunday. The cost for making a dedication is $75 for the Nave or $50 for the Chapel. (Our flower costs have recently increased.) To make a dedication, or to volunteer your time, please contact the church office at office@stthomascolumbus.org or 706-324-4264. |
