Busy Preparing for Our Episcokids!

Erin with KidsThis year our children will continue to "Weave God's Promises" in Sunday School. Last year, in focusing on our faith, we covered the story of our salvation, our redemption by Jesus, and how we as individuals fit into the story. The overall theme was "God's Love for Us." The New Testament lessons focused on the Gospel of Matthew. Lessons in the spring also focused on our Anglican tradition and faith. This year "Weaving Together the Family of God" will cover the story of how we become God's people and part of the household of God, the Communion of Saints. The overall theme will be "We are God's People." The New Testament lessons focus on the Gospel of John and later lessons focus on the "Easter people," the saints in the church up to the present time.

Stay tuned for more Episcokid updates!

Wacky Wednesdays with the Children's Choir!

Youth ChoirMark your calendars, because on we will begin WaCkY WeDnEsDaYs with the Children's Choir. Sign your family up for supper on Wednesday nights and then plan for your children (ages 4 years through 5th grade) to participate in Children's Choir. This will be a great opportunity for your children to fellowship, celebrate, and worship together while learning the elements of music and the "ins and outs" that make our Episcopal faith unique. We traditionally follow the school calendar and meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30. The children also participate in the 10:30 worship service several Sundays throughout the year.

Keep your eyes peeled for WaCkY updates!

Seeking Volunteer Sunday School Teachers

SSEver thought about becoming a Sunday School Teacher? Teaching Sunday School is one of the most rewarding services you can provide to God and your church. We are blessed with many "veteran" teachers, but we are always looking for new volunteers. You don't need any special background in theology or education; we will provide you with training, curriculum, and support, and we try to have two teachers in each classroom every Sunday. We also schedule teachers for units of about two weeks on and one Sunday off, so you can still attend worship regularly. We can use your help at any grade level, and we are particularly looking for elementary teachers.

For more information, please contact Erin Redden, Children's Education Director, at episcokids@stthomascolumbus.org.
Join the "Welcome Team"!
Welcome
We are now accepting volunteers to join a new Sunday Service Team at St. Thomas. These volunteers will be staffing a Welcome/Information Table in the Narthex each Sunday morning. The goal of this ministry is to establish personal contact with prospective members, new members, and members who are not very involved but have the potential to become more involved in the parish community. Like our other Service Teams, we are hoping to gain enough volunteers to rotate each Sunday of the month. For the immediate future, the coordinators of this team will be Michael Ankerich and Allison Kennedy. Please contact the church office at office@stthomascolumbus.org or 706-324-4264 to express your interest in volunteering. Thank you!
