Looking for creative ways to budget a new marketing video for your website? For Hill, the magic word was "co-op." Alpha Source is the premier global source for technical product solutions in the Health Care market. Put another way, the company is a major distributor for batteries, lamps, cables, power protection, monitoring and diagnostic hardware for hospitals and other health care providers.

Kendra blended Alpha Source money with co-op advertising dollars from four of her major vendors to fund an online video overview of the advantages of buying from Alpha Source.

"We worked with The Dean Group from concept through production and online delivery," says Hill. "They helped create a very flexible script incorporating the products our sponsors provide while not discounting other vendor offers or diluting the Alpha Source message. They were flexible enough to let us plug an additional sponsor into the video near the end of production. And they did it all in a clear, cohesive video that grabs and holds visitors while telling them more about the solutions and advantages
Alpha Source offers."

By the time production was complete, sponsors had contributed 80 percent of the video's cost; a worthwhile investment given the additional attention their products are receiving.

Alpha Source and The Dean Group are now working on client-specific video designed to help explain Alpha Source's services and commitment to a major new client.

In a recent study by MarketingSherpa of companies using video on their marketing websites, an amazing 57% said the use of video was a huge success with a positive impact on sales, lead generation, site use and improved customer relations. The study found even the 29% "unsure" users were very optimistic, saying they just didn't have the data yet to say one way or another. And the small percentage with no impact - blamed themselves for not doing a good enough job. That sounds like 100% positive to us!
