Greetings!
We've had an outstanding start to our 13th year at Marian Middle School. This year's theme is "There's A Leader In Me" and although it's only September, we've already seen strong examples of student leadership. Thank you for your part in molding our young women into leaders during their educational journey through Marian and beyond.

Students' Proposal Wins Award from Gateway Greening
|
In May, Marian's rising 8th grade class researched sustainable food systems in their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Lab. Their proposal to expand Marian's community garden included a composter, rain barrel, and work bench. In July, Nikki Navalta presented the proposal to attendees at a Gateway Greening ceremony held at Bell Garden. She explained the benefits of sustainable gardening and the school's desire to use our garden to support the Culinary Arts program. As a result of the students' efforts, Marian was awarded a garden expansion that will be installed in October.
