Kids Against Hunger
|
 Marian Middle School students have raised $947 toward their goal of $1000 for Kids Against Hunger. Activities to raise money have included selling hand-made Christmas cards from art class, cookies and hot chocolate prepared in culinary arts class, and candy-grams for Christmas. Robotics Competition
|
 Two MMS teams competed in the 2011 FIRST LEGO League Robotics competition. In addition to programming the robots to perform "missions", the girls performed a skit on this year's competition topic of food safety. The girls did a great job and learned that staying calm and concentrating while under pressure, were the secrets to success.
