welcoming Father Greg Boyle, SJ for a Live and Learn Lecture Series on
Thursday, September 23, at Heagney Theatre on the campus of Nerinx
Hall. Twenty years ago, a Jesuit pastor in gang-ridden Los Angeles
began to respond to young people who needed help surviving the
dangerous streets around the parish. Father Greg Boyle began with a
school and developed a large enterprise of related businesses and free

What does it take to be a MARIAN girl? She must be:
- Of average or above average ability
- Eligible for a Federal free or reduced-fee lunch
- A girl of promise, capable of meeting the eligibility requirements of a college preparatory high school
- Supported by at least one caring adult who is actively involved in her education
- In need of a challenge or falling behind in a traditional school setting
