Winter Tech Tip!
Pellets will be our topic of conversation as we have seen multiple service issues relating to fuel quality during the start of this heating season. With over 100 pellet mills in North America, there are many pellet brands and retailers selling wood pellets. Not all wood pellets are created equal; there are many variances in the types of raw material used which can dramatically affect the performance of your stove. From one pellet to the next, you may notice differences in the diameter, length, and raw material or sawdust used in the manufacturing process. Many stoves will require feed and/or air adjustments as you notice these characteristics in your pellet fuel. Make sure the pellets you purchase do not contain additives and have met the standards of the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI). As always, Earth Sense offers only tested and approved premium grade wood pellets at the always guaranteed lowest price for our stove customers.
