VBS comes to South Linden this Summer - Join us in providing an awesome week for students and families!
As an effort to provide a safe and productive environment this Summer for students in South Linden, Urban Concern is excited to put on its first Vacation Bible School the week of June 27th - July 1st. Each day will run from 10 am - 12 noon, with lunch being served afterwards.
The VBS will take place at Harambee Community Center and School, and will offer a free week of fun activities and teachings for students and parents alike. Best of all - it is FREE!

Community Resource Gathering -
Local organizations "Come together and move it forward" with resources for Summer!
With the school year coming to an end, organizations from around the city came out to Harambee Community Center on Saturday, April 30th, to share resources for a safe and productive Summer in South Linden.

Volunteer Spotlight -
Will Rogers
Age: 19 Major: Middle Childhood Development In this month's Voice of Concern, we are pleased to highlight Will, a dedicated volunteer in the After School Program. Regarding the benefits he has found from volunteering, Will said, "I love volunteering and working with kids. It has also helped me to overcome my shyness and taught me how to speak up more!" To others thinking about volunteering, Will says, "Working in the ASP has been a lot of fun, and anyone that is thinking about getting involved with Urban Concern should. Volunteering at Urban Concern can help you grow in your walk with God and is a great way to serve."
