New School Year, New Expansion at Harambee
On Wednesday the
25th, Harambee Christian School opened its doors and welcomed students back to
kick off another exciting school year.
And we have a lot to be excited about.

Harambee welcomed
its first ever 6th grade class this year, bringing us to our highest
ever enrollment of 111 students. On top
of that, long time volunteer, parent, and former Urban Concern Youth Director, Kisha Harris, took on a new role
as 5th grade teacher at Harambee. Kisha's story is an inspiration to all of us, and we're confident she'll
play an integral role in empowering her students to become agents of positive
change in the community and the world.
Urban Concern extends many thanks to all our friends and donors who made this expansion possible. Special thanks to Ariel Corporation and Plaskolite, Inc.
And most importantly, the students and
families of South Linden thank you. Believe us - we could tell by the looks on their faces, as they stepped
through Harambee's doors on the first day.
