Urban Concern is excited to announce that Harambee School is expanding!
This
summer, we will finish construction on the 7,000 feet of unfinished
space on the second floor. In late August, we will add sixth grade with
the hope of adding seventh and eighth grades in subsequent school
years. We are excited to provide for our students during one of the
most vulnerable and volatile times in their lives. And we are confident
that adding middle school at Harambee will help us to fulfill our
mission to break the cycle of poverty and to empower young people to
lead.
We are extremely
grateful to Ariel Corporation for their generous contribution of
$135,000 to kick off the campaign. Our goal is to raise the remaining
$190,000.

Volunteers Needed for Summer Elementary Enrichment Program
Urban
Concern's Summer Elementary Enrichment Program is seeking volunteers to
help support learning and prevent summer learning loss. The program
runs from June 21 - July 30. Hours are M-F 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
