Your Holiday Gifts Help during Recession
As 2009
draws to a close, we also see hopeful signs that the recession may end.
However, Urban Concern needs your help to close out the year in the black. We want to thank all of our supporters and
prayer partners for your faithfulness this past year. Your commitment to this work encourages us every
day.

looking for ideas for your end-of-the year charitable giving, please consider
one of the following options:
Harambee Scholarship Fund
Nearly 90% of the students at Harambee Christian School qualify for free or reduced
lunch. This fund provides critical
assistance to help some of these students attend.
Annual Fund
Your gift
to the Urban Concern Annual Fund has an immediate impact on people's lives by
providing support for spiritual, family and community development in South Linden. It also helps with on-going operating expenses. Donors of $500 or more receive special
recognition in our Leadership Giving society. Members are listed in Urban Concern newsletters and in
the annual report.
Employee Giving & Matching Gifts
Many
businesses & corporations have Employee Giving campaigns where you may
designate a gift to Urban Concern. Some
companies will match your gift anywhere from 50 to 100 percent. Contact your Human Resources department for
information on your company's program.
Shop
Kroger?
Do you shop at
Kroger? Urban Concern is a registered nonprofit in the Kroger Community Rewards
program. If you are a Kroger patron, register your Kroger Plus card
number online at www.krogercommunityrewards.com.
Select "Ohio"
and then click on "Enroll." Urban Concern's # is 84179.
Every time you shop for groceries and swipe your card, Urban Concern will earn
a rebate. If you shop at Kroger but do not have access to the online sign-up,
call (800) 837-4483 to learn about an alternative sign-up method.
United Way
Urban
Concern is an approved agency for
the United Way
of Central Ohio's Donor Choice Program for the
2009 campaign year.
Federal
employees may give to Urban Concern through the Combined Federal Campaign. Our
