Market at the Square "Run or Shine"
Off to a running start!
One of the City of Urbana's signature
institutions, Market at the Square, will open for its 31st season on Saturday. All parking adjacent to the Market will be open
and accessible, and Market vendors will be open for business. Visitors can expect to find Illinois-grown fresh
produce, meat and dairy products, plants and flowers, baked goods and other
prepared foods, arts, crafts, and live performers.

Each nickel is

Runners and their families will celebrate the race finish at the 27th-Mile Celebrate Victory Bash hosted by the Champaign County Convention & Visitors Bureau. This is a festival atmosphere with live music, food, and drink on sale and activities for all ages. Not only a great place to meet up with family and friends, but a great starting point to get our and explore the rest of Champaign County. Attendees will pick up their "wooden victory nickels" along with a list of all participating businesses where they will receive discounts and specials. ARTWORK: A National Conversation on Art, Labor & Economics
The state of art in the economic environment!
Join artists Brett Bloom
and Salem Collo-Jullin of Temporary Services and other guests to discuss
this topic. In January 2010, artist
collective Temporary Services launched a 40 page newspaper about the
state of art in the economic environment. Articles by artists, critics,
historians and concerned people address ways artists are surviving and much more. The paper has been distributed
in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. What do we do now?
