10am-7pm: Jewelry, art, music and more! The artists of H2O salon will be giving free eyebrow waxing and free bang trims, with Ursa demonstrating formal up-do's from 2-3pm.
Featuring a display of pastel over charcoal pieces by Sergio Diego Juan. 

HEALTH IN HARMONY
9am-7pm: Exhibit of paintings by artist Wesley Cook. Works are for sale.  

HEARTLAND GALLERY
Sat 10am-9pm: Featuring new work for sale by Irish artists Honor Hales (acrylics and glass enamels), John Nolan (acrylics) and Hilary Nunan (acrylics with fibers). New ceramics from Ireland by Thomas Diem, Amanda Murphy and Ray Power. Oil paintings by Marty Maehr, formerly of Urbana.

Storefront display promoting the 2010 Cunningham Children's Home Festival of Quilts debuts quilts stitched by area artists along with a special story about a youth and their new treasure - a quilt they received at Cunningham Children's Home.

9am-8pm: Madeline's Confectionary Arts will have a fabulous pastry themed art exhibit.

11am-3pm: display and sale of framed photographs, calendars, greeting cards, postcards, drawings and unique gifts by Virginia Pinkston. Artist will be on site.

6-8pm: Jazz guitarist Wes Howard and vocalist Joanne Duitsman perform your favorite jazz standards and old tunes. 

WIND, WATER & LIGHT GALLERY
10am-6pm: Over 200 artists represented, with original drawings, oil painting, art prints, jewelry, clothing and cards available for sale. Featuring a display of 1000 paper cranes by 14 year-old artist Nora Marino from the 1000 Paper Crane Project for World Peace. With oils on panel and canvas, graphite on illustration board and colored pencil on Stonehenge paper by illustrator Michael Owen Thomas. Also works by Michael Zachay, who fuses and silk screens glass to create moving prairie scenes of distant and not so distant times; jewelry by Mahomet artist Janet Loomis; jewelry by Mary Tangora and paintings by Larry Steinbauer.

U-C Quilts for Haiti
8 quilts made for this beginning project by local artists and quitters. Quilts are on display at Lincoln Square. 7 hang in the old Baskin's window and one at Wind Water & Light Gallery. The drawings will take place at a reception at Wind Water & Light Gallery on April 16th from 5:30 - 7:30pm.

PechaKucha Night C-U Volume 3PechaKucha Night brings creatives together for an evening of quick-fire, "show and tell"-type presentations, networking, and fun. PechaKucha Night's focus is on passion, not portfolio, and the presenters come from extremely diverse creative backgrounds. The PechaKucha format, 20 slides for 20 seconds each, allows 8-16 presenters only 6 minutes and 40 seconds to present - this keeps presentations concise and the interest level up. We have an impressive lineup for the evening, including Project Runway Season 7 alum and former Urbana, IL resident Ping Wu! PechaKucha Night C-U Volume 3 is hosted by CUDO and is part of this year's Boneyard Arts Festival.

C4A Benefit Recital
A spring-time Performance, just for the grown-ups!
 
C4A Benefit Concert C4A's professional faculty musicians will perform an evening concert of classical, popular, and traditional chamber music. You're invited to join us for a pre-concert glass of
wine or coffee and a behind-the-scenes look at some of C4A's activities. Proceeds will benefit the Community Center for the Arts. The program will feature small groups of performers playing a wide variety of styles from Italian baroque to 20th-century folk-influenced art music, from jazzy selections to traditional dance music. We're serious about our music, but our presentation is casual and intimate. You'll have time to get up and stretch, enjoy refreshments, and meet the performers!

Tickets are $20 and include wine, coffee, dessert, and great music!

Featuring the colourful paintings of Irish artist Honor Hales, John Nolan & Hilary Nunan, as well as Marty Maehr
 
Heartland GalleryHeartland Gallery presents "Colours of the Soul". All three of the Irish artists are featured in multiple galleries throughout Ireland, but Heartland Gallery is the only place in the U.S. to feature their work.  This show will open with a reception on Friday, April 16th and all day on Saturday, April 17th from 10am to 9pm to coincide with the Boneyard Arts Festival.   Also featured will be ceramics by Thomas Diem, Amanda Murphy and Ray Power, all artisan members of the Irish Crafts Council. The show will run through May 22nd during regular gallery hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm.  Although the artists are not able to be present for the receptions, photos of them at work in their studios will be displayed along with additional information about them and their work.
